Jenn Pentecost is a teaching artist with extensive experience in schools and community arts organizations. As a visual art instructor and former studio director, she is passionate about fostering creativity, confidence, and self-expression. She spent over a decade running a thriving art studio before transitioning to school-based education, where she has spent the past 16 years inspiring young artists through hands-on, inquiry-based learning. Committed to interdisciplinary connections and project-based exploration, she believes every student can become a confident, innovative thinker in a supportive and creative environment.
Art for Kids
Classes, workshops, and camps for ages K-12. Jenn’s exciting programs embrace foundational skills and the creative process. Students are encouraged to explore, with Jenn guiding them to success. Through exposure to a wide variety of media and materials, children will become more skilled and able to use these materials to communicate emotions, ideas, and interests. Jenn’s art lessons are typically open-ended, which embraces both discovery and opportunity.

Art for Adults
Similar to her youth programming, Jenn’s adult programming encourages exploration through different mediums. Her informative workshops include painting, collage, bookmaking, and printmaking with a focus on skill development, design, and social engagement. Her goal is to foster an appreciation for the arts and the simple, beautiful things we can create and be proud of.

Arts Integration
Jenn believes in the importance of arts integration in the classroom as an approach to teaching, in which the arts leverage learning in other subjects such as science and language arts. For 16 years, Jenn has been collaborating with many local and regional schools through grant-funded initiatives in developing arts- integrated curriculum alongside teachers to help support students in making meaningful connections to historically more challenging lessons.
